So what's the difference between the hoods (not being an ***, I just don't know and want to so that I know what fits what when I go junkyard hopping)?

theres not a whole lota visual difference but the sedan hood on a hatch or crx will hang over about an inch from where its suppose to..there a bit longer so grab a measureing tape and measure urs from the top by the windshield to the bottom by the filler..than if u see one at a yard measure it same way..let me know lol im curious

Thanks for that info! I always thought they were the same (then again, I am new to Honda).

So does that also mean the front fenders are different as well? Sorry for hijacking your thread, but the information being brought into it might just help others.

the crx and hatch hoods are the same (fenders are different from hatch to crx to sedan)
sedan fenders hoods only fit sedans

Crx and hatchback frontends are totally swapable all parts bolt up. Nothing will fit the sedan correctly because of the fenders and hood being 1 inch longer. But it's possible with welding and fiberglass. But then you ruin a perfectly org gangster car.

they might bolt up but the corner lights are different and the bottom of the fenders are different the crx fenders dont go all the way down there for trim piece is needed

the civic however does go all the way down and does not have a trim piece
