Hi I just gort an EF with no catalic converter I was planning on putting one in just to keep the po po's of myback.My question is does anybody if i'll lose any power/performance?

It will be negligible.

I gained ~.5 hp peak and lost ~2 tq peak by removing the catalytic converter from my 5th Gen Prelude.

that doesnt make any sense.


you should have gained all over the graph, not just peak.

Just use the magnaflow hi-flow cat buy one yourself...have a muffler shop install it, and its the best thing you can do to help the car sound good.

Dont let ricers and noobs tell you any different.

summitracing.com should have one that comes with flanges so it will bolt straight up and they were affordable last time I checked.
I did notice a gas mileage increase after removing my cat, I drive 90% freeway above 70mph.

ahhhhh that's right the o2 sensor is installed in the cat on the prelude! lame.
