how much power will a type r trans hold on boosted moter

Default how much power will a type r trans hold on boosted moter

How much power will a 00 Integra type r trans with a 4.4 dinal drive and a Clutchmasters Stage 5 4 puck solid disc clutch hold?? i no they say the clutch is rated for 400 Hp but iv seen people on here qoute 440 hp daily driven with no probs... was wondering how are these trannys what are they usualy good for power wise before they start to go ?

some people break that with 180 horsepower, other people have no issues at 700 horsepower. the way you drive it will dictate that.

an "upgraded" transmission is going to cost you about 4g's so i'd try to make your stock one work lol

Yea the transmission can handle the power, but if you go beating it off the line with 400+ WHP you are going to blow it sooner than later haha

ive seen 10.1 personally on a stock itr trans and stock axels.. and like like he said.. seen them break on stock ITRs

Yea its just about being a smooth driver, preloading, and knowing how the car drives. You should be able to drive on stock axles. Basically I think a lot of people prefer stock axles cause if something going to break, they'd rather it be an axle snapping that takes 30 mins to change out, rather than a transmission..

Yea sounds like he needed some traction bars and/pr some solid motor mounts. I will be putting my traction bars on asap once the motor itself is running correctly. Already have the solid motor mounts in there, but its not a gurantee I won't get wheel hop.

he put the prothane inserts in it, vibrates like hell, wheel hops, but not as bad

Yea usually only traction bars takes care of wheel hop. Gotta preload that suspension a bit to eliminate it. I'm hoping I don't have much of an issue with that
