sticks loose?

Default sticks loose?

hey.
i drive a 91 ef, after a freeway drive i came to a stop and went to throw it in neutral, but found that the sticks loose.
i can find the gears, but its floppy.
what might be wrong?

I had that same problem this week.If it goes around in a circle without hitting anything it's probably your through bolt that connect's the shift linkage with the shifter. It either fell or about to fall.I got it at a junkyard.

Make sure to check the pin that connects the rod to the tranny while you are under there, mine wasn't put in properly and felt funny.
