is the p13 ecu differant than the jdm ecu?

I am about to order the h22a engine only from HMO and it is $1200 and it says to add a p13 ecu is $200. Is that the original jdm ecu or is it USDM?

P13 is both JDM and USDM. the way to tell if it is jdm is by another set of numbers on the ecu, i can't remember what codes are from where tho... try searching for it, i've seen 'em on H-T in the past

JDM= speed cut at 113mph
USDM= does not

Also the JDM motor is slightly more aggressive, so its SLIGHTLY different.

I am willing to bet that since HMO deals with imported engines they also sell imported ecus to go with them rather than fighting to find them in salvage yards.
