Please any suggestions would be great! ECU problems
I am lost right now i got a ecu for my integra because my old one was stolen and now it wont start but its trying to turnover, any simple test to see if the problem is my ecu or my distrubutor anything would be helpful. Oh its a 96 integra LX and I think the ecu is out of a 99 or 2000 integra. I was told it would work but now im having my doubts
If it is from a 2000 Integra, the ECU has an immobilizer. What is the p/n on the ECU (37820-P75-???)? Can you hear the fuel pump prime?
I put the key to start or run and i didnt her anything at all, so im guessing you were pointing out if the fuel pump doesnt prime then its the ecu, heres the numbers on the side of the ecu.... 37820-p75-*** i think thats then code you were talking about..
The 37820-p75-*** is from a 2000 or 2001; both have the immobilizer. They work by cutting power to the fuel pump. You can either remove the immobilizer and have a constant CEL or get an older ECU.
Dogginator Thanks for everything i ended up going to the junk yard and got a hit or miss ecu (no refunds there) and after 6-8 months with a broken down integra IT BACK ON THE STREETS!!! This forum is a good luck charm and ill be posting all my knowelge to anyone needs it.. this forum gave me the motivation to keep trying it ( i went through 3 ecus) just wanted to say thanks!
