Right now I have i/h/e and I am puttin in itr cams and skunk 2 cam gears. Do I need to get it dyno'd???

 

You don't have to but it's a damn good way to see if you can get more power.

 

Why get the cam gears if your not gonna dyno tune?



Take it to a dyno..

my 98 gsr had 145whp and after i/h/e can cam gears (stock cams) picked up the whp to about 165whp.. no bad for a couple boltons..

 

youre right where i'm at, get a Vafc so you can tune the fuel and a FPR then take it for some dynotime, you may want to chip your computer and get some valvesprings to take advantage of the power those cams give up top.

 

if you want to the get the maximum horsepower out of those cams then you should definitely get your car tuned. if you don't then those cam gears will be pointless. however, if you plan on doing any other major mods in the future, i'd suggest waiting on tuning until then. also look into getting a VAFC or Hondata.

its not really for his "curiosity"...but rather for the TUNING aspect. like jake said why get cam gears and not use them??

 

You need to get it tuned on the dyno especially with new cams.
