I searched and couldn't find what i'm looking for, so:

After 1 week of owning my teg i despise using the key to open my rear hatch. I know there is a release at the back but when I slide mine over, all I get is a buzzing sound. Any clue on whats wrong?

Now I have been reading that 94-97 have a manual release from inside the car. Couldn't I just order the relase mechanism and put it in my '99? I would prefer a manual release inside the car anyway.

i have a 98 and its a gear in the motor that breaks. i ended up replacing the motor. its around $50 from most online Acura spots. i never thought about installing the manual release. maybe hitting a junkyard and buying all the needed parts... hmmm...

i use mine as a safety feature and just use my key, if theives want to steal my sound system, they gotta crawl in through the backseat and take out everything from there...

Ya sounds to be a fun and simple project. I may hit up the local junkyard and see what I can do, if not i'm gonna buy a new motor and get it hooked up to my keyless entry when I get it installed. Wanna have my hatch release working before it goes to the shop for keyless so they can hook it up also... Thanks
