Default AT radiator in MT 97 GSR

I ordered a Radiator for a 97 GSR and got one with the fittings for the ATF coolant hoses, meaning I got a radiator for one of the AT Integras.

Looking at my old radiator, it appears to have the same mold for the lower tank, with "cut lines" where the manufacturer would cut the tank and mount fittings.

Can I remove the fittings and plug these holes and pretend like it's the correct radiator or will this result in a loss of coolant capacity as compared with the proper radiator for an MT Integra?

Everything else about the two radiators looks identical, and if I won't lose capacity, I'd prefer to not wait another 2 days for a replacement part and deal with returning this one.

Anyone know?

THANKS!

-matt

the radiator will work fine a lot of aftermarket companies make one radiator for both manual & auto trans cars. obviously you won't hook up the trans cooler lines because you shouldn't have any. Radiator will perform normally

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll go ahead and use it.

I have a question regarding the fittings fot the ATF reservoir. Should I remove the fittings and plug them? If so, how?

Thanks again.

You don't need to bother plugging them. If you WANT to you can... but it won't hurt anything if you don't.

Thanks for the help, guys. I plugged them with some hose caps from the auto parts store, reinstalled, and all seems well.

I ran into the same issue when I purchased mine. Is it safe to just run a coolant line between the two coolant outlets and call it a day? Or do they need to be capped off? Thanks.

i have a friend who ran his turbo's oil cooling lines to this same type of radiator. combined with the oil cooler that came with the turbo kit it actually works a lil better. just a little something to keep in mind if you ever plan on boosting.
