VTEC engagement with VTC cam angles adjustments
As a side note to anyone who is just starting to use K-Pro...
When you move the high-cam engagement point around, be sure to ramp up your cam angles to match closely on the low cam to smooth out the transition into the high cam. If you don't, you'll find yourself with a headache of a lean condition at the point of engagement that's a pain in the butt to hunt down.
Say you have VTEC engagement at 4,200 RPM. At 4,200 RPM on the high-cam VTC map, you have 48-degrees, but on the low cam in the cells leading up to VTEC, you have values of something like 30 degrees. This will cause a hesitation. Instead, add some more value to the cells leading up to the point of engagement in a progressive fashion.
BAM! Smooth VTEC.
