Aight so im new to this and i need the experts help. My DA makes a crackling noise when i rev it up it around 3,000 rpm. it sounds like it coming from underneath the car and its getting louder as the days go by. Any suggestions on where to look? i already checked all the bolts and they're all on there nice and tight. Won't ya help me?

 

you should you tube "honda rod knock" if it sounds like that you got rod knock and it's probably time to re-build or new swap.

 

could be a million things. from loose heat sheild to bad tensioner. I know how frustrating it is to find the culprit of the noise though.

 

oh yeah it could be anything else too. i just recent rebuild a motor because of rod knock so that was fresh in my mind.

 

i dont think im gonna have to rebuild the motor cuz it only has 71,000 miles on it. its real frustrating cuz the noise seems to come from the exhaust. i hope its nothing serious though. anone know of a good shop near the 92626?
