Default Clearcoating polished aluminum

Can you clearcoat polish aluminum? I just polished my rims using mothers aluminum and mag polish.

1) Is there a special clearcoat I should be using?
2) Can I spray over the freshly polished surface?

When I use degreaser to clean it before clearing it, it looses its shine and stains and I have to polish it all over again. How do you guys clear polish aluminum or is this even possible?

DO NOT clearcoat over polished aluminum, it will yellow and the clear will come off or delaminate from the aluminum over time. If you want the shie to last for a long time look into a product called zoopseal, might eb two words...it will last like 6 months to a year between applications. And if you really want to coat the bare aluminum powdercoat them,
