Default Shifting to 2nd

ok well this happened like 3 times in my 03 RSX typeS with two different races..

The first time this happened was when i was racing my hommies 2004 rx8 we raced like 5 the first two times i took him then we went to the gas station switch cars and i took him twice in his own car but when we were going to switch cars again he had asked what i did when i shift to 2nd i told him nothing just shift why and he replied well the rpms dropped to like 4.5-5 when i shifted to 2nd.. I told him well lets go one last time. So i got in my car and sure enough when i shifted to 2nd it was still in vtech then started droping to around 4.5-5 then went back up...

A couple of days later I raced a 2004 eclipse gs.. and even though i took him 3x this problem still happen all three races.. SOMONE HELP ME IDK WHAT IT IS...

Was your car spinning the tires in first gear?

Theres your problem. When you were shifting the tires were moving faster than the car, therefore after the shift to 2nd gear the car caught traction and the tire and car speed matched up resulting in 4.5k rpms.

Ok now that that is out of the way, Were you racing from dig? I wouldn't think that your car should have that much a traction problem unless your launching really high.

dropping the clutch at almost any rpm will pretty much allow you to sit in one spot while you're redlining in first gear.
