What tranny is worth more (street value), a 95 GSR tranny with 85k miles or a B16 tranny (Si or Del Sol) with 50k miles?

imo, the B16 tranny, it has a better gear ratio...same as ITR actually.
The GSR tranny would be about $100 less....

 

both can be equally valuable, gsr for the turbo guy is same value as b16 with all motor guy.

I would be interested to see how the Si with the 4.4FG would
work out, prolly cheaper than ITR... and same everything

the reason i ask is cuz Im doing a trade. He needs GSR tranny for LS/B20/VTEC and Im going B16/LS5th/ITR LSD for my NA GSR. Just wanted to know whos getting the better deal, cuz the bill will be comming soon

 

my opinion, the GSR tranny is STRONGER than the b16a ... every S4C tranny I come across either breaks or about to ... never seen as much broken GSR trannys.

its how u talke care of ur tranny nto cuz its weak dude if u cant shift and grind all the time ur **** will break but if u good driver itll last u for the lifetime of ur car

 

gs-r there are people with more grinding problems with the b16 than the gs-r

 

But there is also a lot of problems with the GS-R's third gear synchro.

 

i've had my gsr for a little over two years with no 3rd gear synchro issues. my civic coupe on the other hand had mad 3rd gear grinds >4.

 

GSR trannys seem to be able to take more abuse.
