Well if anything you will have a K-Type Thermocouple for $58 with a 6' lead, which alone is cheaper than any sensor/lead I have ever found, I wanted to monitor 4 EGT channels in Neptune but it is a pretty pricey deal for the whole setup.

 

I recall seeing someone who made their own k-type TC's, they wanted like $25 each. They were marketing them for airplanes, so it wasn't exactly a fly-by-night job. They aren't all that hard/costly to make, but that's another topic entirely.

I'd be interested to see this against some other common EGT setup, preferably the TC-4 from Innovate.
