Picture of JDM DC 4-1 on ef ground clearance
Here is a picture detailing the ground clearance on my EF with the JDM DC 4-1 headers. I have a B-series motor with the ha sport mounts. It hangs really low, about 3 inches below the cross member. Look at the box of cigs for reference
My was about the same height if not a little lower. After 2 months the bottom 2 tubes were smashed in half. I put the stock header on and it flowed better.
dayam gina!!! did you have to cut your front crossmember at all to install? did it mate to the cat like the stock one did? and how bout the o2s? sorry for all the questions

Yes, the crossmember has to be cut/smashed in. The O2 had to be relocated right before the collector and you'll have to have a different cat flanged welded on. I'd suggest getting a 2.5" high flow cat to replace the stock cat.

why dont u guys weld a skidplate onto the primaries?????? it cannt be that expensive
I forgot the link since I don't use a JDM 4-1, but they are out there.
ya mine jdm dc 4-1 hang about that low.B16a with motor mounts made by the crower integra driver.I had a small skid plate welded an so far so good.I am plannin to sell this header for a jdm itr to get alittle more clearance.
eww, only homos smoke menthols? j/k. nice header. i heard from others that the hasport mounts point the header up, due to the new design (raised rear of motor for ground clearance). which is weird cuz the front of the header still hangs the same. but supposedly hasport is gonna redesign it again. it not just you, although mine dosent seem to do that. i need to look at it closer though.
your car gonna be ready for this weekend?

Yep, I got the same issue. Running the DC 4-1 99 Si headers. Even though I've been really careful & my car's not totally dumped, I smacked em once already. I think I'll change to the 4-2-1 1pc design for better front crossmember & ground clearance.

cool, thanx for the link. And does the jdm itr really give more clearence??? I thought the dc was an exact copy of the jdm itr. And i am digging those skidplates.....nice!!
I was going to purchase a dc, but now i am having second thoughts. Does anyone actually have the plates, and have some good things to say about it??????

aye will those skid plates work on a ef hatch casue those are hella dope and i need to get one before i dent mine up any more...
i don't have any pics but it was just a guesstamation at about how low it is....it's prolly closer to 4.....i'm running neuspeed race springs with 2 coils cut, on a 91 4dr...i had a set of ground control coilovers that made it sit about 1.5-2 inches higher, and aren't those things supposed to drop ya about 3"....thats why the guess of 4-5"
i just bought a 4-1 header for my 89 hatch and you guys are making me worried now because my car is dropped 2.5" with tenzo springs. and i had problems hitting stuff without the header.
