Cheaper and better choice
Buying a new civic that is manual and starting from a stock manual civic and modding it, or converting my auto civic to manual and start modding? O and how much money and time will this cost and take to convert. Thanks.

cheaper would be buy a standard... better convert your auto...
i say convert mainly becuase its your car and YOU know exactly how it was treated!! a little time and money consuming... but money and time well spent!

auto trannies don't last as long as a standard... and people drive like idiots... so by this logic, there HAS to be someone out there with stripped/grinded gears, whacked out torque converter, etc etc... thus the need for an auto tranny MUST be present.
as for how much... not sure really. a car usually cost 1g more new with the auto option?? so a couple hundred for a good one. im only guessing though, never owned or wanted to own an auto...
