Default Back up battery for the R

Hey guys, i just got my Directed Electronics Back Up Battery (520T), and am wondering if its rechargeable or if its one time use?

520T

It's rechargeable, but its a shitty battery. Most people replace them with better batterys and still use the same control module.

BTW, you didn't really state it so I want to make sure you understand that it's a back up battery for an alarm.

Yeah its for the alarm. Whats the better battery that they used? I wont mind changing the battery. Thanks

it has a 12v constant so it stays charging until the battery wire is cut so the alarm keeps going off,

now if you install that and your alarm brain under the driver side dash its just going to get ripped out, so hide it!

Any one know how long it lasts on its own power?
Also, does anyone know whats the better replacement Battery?
