so i searched for this thread and found it no where, unless you guys can some how link me to one. I have a 95 civic with a gsr. It's getting ready for boost but i want to make it look like a sleeper. i noticed that alot of gsr's out there look like they have a stock exhaust on. i wanted to go with that look of the gsr muffler. my question is not the gsr muffler but the gsr resonator pipe. should it fit perfectly just fine? the rest of the exhaust is being custom built, but i just want to use less piping as much as possible.
i'm hoping for the resonator pipe to fit to the cat, the mid pipe with be welded to the resonator pipe and the muffler. so yeah should it fit? or am i on crack and this is a stupid idea....?

it sounds like you want to reuse the stock piping and resonator and just add a muffler? if youre going to boost then you would probably want at least a 2.5in diameter piping. the gsr resonator is around 2in in diameter so reusing it wouldnt make sense.

since you already have a gsr motor, id suggest you get a 2.5in diameter magnaflow resonator part #10436. if you want to save money go to amazon.com and type in "magnaflow 10436" and click on the first link. be sure to click on free super saving shipping and plus no tax, so out the door it will $68.40. if you do the same for a 2.5in diameter magnaflow cat and a magnaflow muffler, then youll have all three for around $200 with no tax and free shipping. All that you will have to worry about is whether you want mandrel or crush bent piping and which muffler shop is going to install it. for crush bent it shouldnt cost more than $100-120 to install.

should the resonator pipe fit anyways? and then all i had to do is custom bend the mid pipe and part of the axle back?

 

it seems like you just want a stock axle back for ur civic so it'll look like a sleeper. your not gonna want the stock resonator pipe, just get urself a aftermarket exhaust system with the resonator pipe and u can just get a stock integra axle back and have the muffler shop custom it to fit ur aftermarket pipping.
