I bought new piston rings for my d15b but they were a hair too thick. Same 75mm bore but didn't fit inside the grooves on the piston. I was wondering would the d16z6 piston rings be a better fit?

 

I guess I'm gonna answer my own question, ha! I found out that the D16z6 may be similar to the D15b but the piston rings are 1.2, 1.5. The d16y8, D16y7, or D15Z1 are 1.0, 1.2 and those are the ones you want for the D15b vtec. Even though they are both 75mm, the grooves are different sizes. Hope this info helps anyone else looking for piston rings.
