Default Stainless steel traction bar

Are there any downsides to making the crossmember of a tracion bar setup out of stainless besides weight? There is some stuff lying around work that is perfect.

if the material wasn't free, i'd say cost being a major factor. instead of $60-$70 in materials, you'd be looking at 4 to 5 times that.

Oh yea deffinately. If I was paying stainless would not be an option. But since its free I can save myself the hassle of having to paint/powdercoat it.

Can I use the same diameter/wall thickness pipe as I would with cromo?
