Hey all!

Anyone have any shops they can recommend for basic service and mild performance work on the peninsula that aren't shady?

Not out there.

I recomend Motorsport Techniques in Hayward, Modacar in Livermoor, and Twincam in Concord.

I hear good things about Redzone too, but haven't personaly gone there.

Cam gears, ecu swap, valve cover, cluster bezel, gauges

Simple stuff.

You can also try hitting up Import trix.. hes in SF... Joel alvarez runs the shop. Cool guy and knows his ****. I go to him pretty much for everything aside from tuning cuz he dont have a dyno..

Sorry but thats the last place I would go unless I want a big fiberglass body kit and some APC seats and accessories. In the peninsula, I'd go to Trust Auto Performance in San Bruno, ASP in Daly City, or MachIII in the city.

I take it you havent seen his cars, or his work. Hes got alot of leftover ricer **** from the ol days.. He no longer stocks that stuff. Hes moved onto swaps/ installs, builds etc small shop but I've had nothing but great experiences with him and the shop..

Hes got a few people here other than myself that im sure will vouch for his work.

Im not firmiliar with trust myself. I pass by it every so often on my way home from work, along with opak... god i wish i could afford to have work done there.

asp has been taken under new ownership. Victor, and Lawrence sold the shop about 6 months ago. The guys that work there seem to know what they're doing.

One of them owns an ej1 drag car.. i think with a boosted gsr, always sitting outside on slicks... They might be another possibility for you. Again, i dont know what the quality of work is like now but business seems to be BOOMIN! everytime i pass there.

They're Right next to Golden Auto Muffler in Daly City across the street from Bank Of America on mission st.
