Default vtec timer on d16y8 sorry bout that

i got a vtec timer on a d16y8 and it kickes in at 5800 rpms. and i would like for it to kick in at a lower rmp becouse when it does kick in i have to shift shortly after that..I think that it might be hurting me more than its helping. How do i set it to kick in at a lower rpm? HELP ME PLEASE

if all it does is change the vtec crossover point, why not remove it? stock crossover is plenty sufficient and the fuel maps are designed around it...
