I had to have my factory rods shotpeened. Anyway does anyone know which ARP rod bolts will fit the oem B17 rods?
Here are the 2 part #s from Summitracing.

I'd venture a guess that there' the ARP-208-6001's. The B17 is just a stroked B16.

Just FYI the 208-6401's are for the GS-R/ITR 1.8L, I had to use the 208-6001's on my LS.

It's the 208-6401. I know because I have these in stock and have measured the rod bolts.

You should have the rods properly machined to accept the larger under head radius of these bolts.

They are good insurance if you have to run stock rods as the higher clamping force of the bolts allow them to be abused more with more reliability.

No worries, ARP doesn't have very accurate application listings.

If you have a cool machine guy it shouldn't cost much. Otherwise you will be localizing stress on the radius of the headbolt and that can't be good.

yeah the big end of the rod may also have to be resized when using the arp rod bolts. because the new rod bolts will create more bearing crush cause they are torqued more then the stock bolts. so when you a have the machine shop do it for you, ask them to check if the big end is still round and/or needs to be grind and rehone. oh i got a set of the arp 208-6401 9mm rod bolt set if you interested, its still new, just bought the wrong ones for my ls
