Well in all fareness it could be a factory replaced short block. See the green mark on the right part of the head. My short block was replaced by Acura and I don't have a vin on my block and i've got that green mark on the head.

Jason, It's best not to mess with what I like to call "jond and his happy clan of idiots". Time is much too valuable.. unless you just need the entertainment.

 

All of the replacement B18C5 blocks I have seen have orange paint on the serial number 'plate'.

The green paint on the back of the head is also present on my ITR motor from the factory. I have also found that green paint on all of the ITR heads I have bought/installed.

Hmm I'll have to check that out. I did not notice any orange paint, but I did notice the VIN was gone.

 

But it still has 5 days left, so I'm sure it'll make it well over $4000

dOOdZ....i checked that out...it's local.....i went and talked to the guy....he says he jacked it outta a redhatch back that was at summit point at hyperfest....he didn't recognize me cause i was driving my dodge colt....i told him i'd give 2000 cash then and there....but he wanted to see how high it would go on ebay.....i saw jacks car in the garage!! i couldn't believe it!!! jack didn't even pop his hood at hypeRfest!!!

I don't know about buying **** like this over the internet. Like you guys mention, who knows what that motors' been through/beaten and how it was acquired by this fockin JEWEL/seller...

 

I wish I had the 500 for that and 1000 for a hatch...

 

No **** that,these *********** have made a buisiness out of stealing our ***** and stripping them,of course I don't mind when someone is checking to see if anyones beloved stolen ITR or GSR parts on Ebay.
