Default 90-91CRX Si Climate Control

i searched but i didnt really find nothing but the accord swap. i kno sumone has put a 90-91 crx si climate control in a 88-91 ef hatch.

yes it can be done but here is the kicker.

you have to use the crx ac wiring harness. Due to the crx ac system is all automatic. The hatch is cables. I did it in my old civic and it worked real well but you basically have to use a complete crx system in your hatch.

I dont have any pictures. I wish i did on that one.

You try using a Civic hatch climate control in your CRX and see what a pain it is.

yea i dont car about ac because i dont have it... i have noticed the ef climate controls i have seen a cable operatied. but in other words will this be a easy/basic install.

Default ef climate controls

it can be easy if you are swapping cable operated for cable operated.

my 88 crx si has pushbuttons for everything except heat (that controls the heater)

The ef hatch I have is standard 4 cables. One to do the heat, one to do the vent position, one to do recirc or outside air and cant remember what the other one is.

I've got both styles since I have a hatch and a crx. Mine are two different systems.

crx ac

civic ac

jdm crx


I have all three and have looked at the wiring enough on these. Hope the pictures help.
