Default When installing new taillight gaskets do you use sealant?

I just got my package from Hondaautomotiveparts which contains my new OEM taillight gaskets.

Should i use sealant still? I would prefer not too.

You don't need to use any sealant.

haha i should have clarified.

I have a slight leak at my taillights from my old gaskets. I was just curious if other people put sealant on the new gaskets for like a preventive maintnence.

Since the problem was with your old gaskets, and not anything else, sealant would be fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Just put them on without sealant, don't overtighten, and they'll be good for another 18 years. Hopefully, that's enough.
