Throwing code 9

Default Throwing code 9

i hear this code doesnt happen too often. i know what code 9 is. i just need to know how to fix it. any recommendations?

what motor do u have??code 9 is for the cyl. postion sensor.here look in this link.

what distributor do you have? - you need the Si or HF distributor with the MPFI - the DX distributor won't work - if you have the Si or HF distributor and are getting code 9, then you most likely need a different distributor or you have a problem in the wiring

i have si dizzy. but everytime i play with it and put it back on, it'll run better for a few. so maybe i should track down a new dizzy?

Did you ever figure out the problem? i have the same issue after i play with the dizzy reset the ecu the code come back on....

replace the distributor. if the problem is still there. open up your ecu and check to see if anything looks fried. it happened to me. i changed the distributor and it kept on throwing code 9. checked the ecu it was fried changed it and the problem went away.
