Sparco vs. Recaro
im looking into buying some seats for my daily driver (97 GSR), i never track my car but we do have some backroads around here where you can push your car, im looking for some seats that have a little more support than my stock gsr seats...
im sure there are some ppl in here that dont really track their cars, but use them as daily drivers and have upgraded their seats...i dont have access to a shop with lots of seats so i dont have the chance to try out different seats, i was wondering what do most people in here prefer, recaros...or sparcos...which make? and why do they prefer the specific brand?
any info or advice would be appreciated

Since this is being an R forum any that has upgraded has gone with JDM Type R recaro's since they match the interior perfectly. (And you can lean the seat back as well)
However any serious tracked R has upgraded seats. Carbon fiber ftw.

The best happy medium I've found is the JDM Recaros. 2 piece recline-able w/ dial, great high bolstering without being too tight(I'm 200lbs, 6"), matches the interior perfectly, etc.
Bucket seats are too aggressive for the street unless you're into that. I've had a couple and they were good for the track but DDing was annoying. I would almost always pic Recaro before Sparco. Just better quality.

X2.....recaro's feel a bit more comfortable to me, even the bucket.
Bucket seats take a little getting used to for DD

1) Wrong forum
2) Fixed-back seats are a bad idea for a daily driver or a majority road-going car.
3) Don't be a douchebag and drive fast on public roads, regardless of how 'empty' you think they are.
4) Read #3 carefully.

dont rule sparco out, sparco makes great seats
the basic reclineable(without being a cheap cheap ***) sparco is the torino, its a great quality seat, holds you great, very comfortable and is very very resistant to wear and fade(with black anyways, ive seenold red ones faded)
the only thing is they dont match a itr interior like the jdm type r recaros which is also very comfortable, but is alot more prone to wear on the fabric and sagging side bolsters after a while

brides for the mfw. Ive sat in most of the sparcos not realy a fan for the price. They are not a bad seat but for the price i think you can do better. but like they said leave the racing for the track and not public roads.

Please man, you can't be serious? There is a time and a place for everything.

thanks for all the responses...
i dont need a fixed back seat...i mostly daily drive...i always thought the sparcos were considerably cheaper than the recaros...
im sure the bride seats are nice, but i do not want to spend that much money...
any more input would be great...
