Bad knock and "shimmy" coming from left front wheel well

Bad knock and "shimmy" coming from left front wheel well

I was on my way to work this morning and I started hearing this knock. Then I slow down for a turn and it gets worse and when I turn the steering wheel starts shimming and the knock is even worse. Any ideas as to where I should begin?

I should add my suspension setup right now is Tokico HP's /w 5Zigen R-Rated springs.

I would check these:

lug nutz/wheel studs
axle nut
cv joint
wheel bearing
tie rods
any unusual suspension play/signs of rubbing

Hopefully you will find the source.

what he said, with the car on the gound, push and pull the tire\rim. see if knocking happens then.

If not, get the tire off. get it in the air, and see if the hub flopps arround.

I would say a balljoint took a hefty **** on you.
