B16 thermostat HELP
So i guess my stock one is like stuck shut or something so i went out to shucks to buy a temporary one until i order one from password. After i installed it and put in anti freeze mixed with water it doesnt seem to get pass the thermostat. Also after i let it sit and warm up i kinda squeeze the piping that connects to the thermostat housing and it doesnt feel like theres any anti freeze in it at all just air. But after i let it cool off and i do it agian im able feel the liquid splash around inside the pipe.So my question is how the [freak] do i get it to work right? should i get another thermostat that opens up at a lower temp or what? sorry if i confused anyone, i probably have cus i just confused myself.
you probably have a tiny leak somewhere in other hoses...check around for leaks cause if it leaks a bit, your cooling system won't work correctly. that happened to my b16 swap too...couldn't figure it out, found a lil break in a tiny hose by the IM and fixed that and then it started working right...check for lil cracks and such...gl
also check to see if both your thermostats are working properly...throw them in a pot of water and put it over the stove...heat that thing up to boiling to see if it opens up...if not then you have a faulty thermo...
