Default Where to tap 5v for my EGR?

Long story short, bought the Rywire obd0--->obd1 conversion harness for my '89 CRX HF ---> D15Z1 ('92-95 VX) swap, and in the instructions it mentions I need to tap the yel/wht wire on the MAP sensor (5v) to supply the yel/wht EGR w/ 5v as well. I did and both have ~2.6-2.8v instead of 5v and my idle/revs are not the best. where else can I tap 5v and get 5v? The ECU is a stock P07, I tested the 2 sensors w/ a spare P05 and got the same results. I have a free 12v source if I knew how to step it down to 5v. Suggestions? Thanks Mak

P.S. No CELs, idles ok, doesn't sustain low revs well, hangs at times, no surging/loops though.
