Default Will my obd1 ECU recognize my stock cluster VSS in my '89 CRX HF?

Here goes, I have an '89 CRX HF, '92-95 VX D15Z1 VTEC-E swap, P07 ECU (VX), Rywire obd0--->obd1 conversion harness, stock '89 HF Tranny (cable operated speedo), stock '89 HF cluster. With this setup, will my stock '89 HF cluster and integrated VSS be recognized by the P07 ECU? The car runs, mechanical speedo works, no CEL, etc. The D15Z1/P07 used electronic VSS IIRC but will the signal still make it w/ my stock cluster? If not, what mod do I have to do to make it work and therefore engage VTEC at 2200 RPM? I'd like to stay with my cable operated tranny if possible, I'm not up for a hydro conversion. Thanks Mak

P.S. And yes, I searched with mixed results.

Yes, it will work if you keep the stock cluster.
