Heads up to anyone in the Orlando / Winter Park area, less than one hour ago (~2:30 am 4/11/08) someone tried to steal my car (97 GSR), fortunately my alarm went off and the cowards ran off, un-fortunately I didn't see anything (3rd floor apartment doh) though I did hear their fart canister exhaust speeding off.

Back story... two months ago in february my teg <U>was</U> stolen, though I was fortunate, my teg was recovered little more than 24 hours later less then 3 miles away from my apartment (where it was stolen.)

This is how they did it... the wires to my horn were ripped out (alarm went off but no horn, yeah I know factory alarm blows) they pried the drivers window back and ripped/broke it off (two layers of tint held the shattered pieces neatly together which I found the next day), they then popped the hood open disconnected battery and reconnected it to reset the factory alarm to start the car, then they busted up the steering column, with a crow bar I assume, and started up the car and drove off.

Because I was lucky and got my car back in one piece which is very very very rare! I fixed her up back to the way it was and <U>added several layers of security</U> including a second horn that I got off another integra at the junk yard for cheap.

This time they didn't attempt to bust the drivers window, instead they inserted a screwdriver (I assume) between the drivers door and the door jamb, and when they did my second horn that I installed in an un-accessible location went off. So of all the layers of security that I added, it was the second horn that saved me this time, though not to say that the other layers of security didn't work, they worked just fine, ultimately it was the second horn that saved my ***... time for a third and possibly fourth horn!

So heads up to anyone in the Orlando / Winter Park area. If anyone has any info on thief activities in the Orlando / Winter Park area a heads up would be appreciated.

one more thing, did I mention that I <U>added several layers of security</U> to my car. &lt;------ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Question... Has anyone that has had kill switches installed in their car still have it stolen? or have you heard of anyone with kill switches still have their car stolen?
I want to know because even though I have kill switches installed on my car along with other layers of security I am still paranoid as f*ck about getting my car stolen.
