you have what you have... cannot expect a B16 to do much on the low end

I did a straight B20 and am happier than when I had a B16 Vtec

Right off 2500 RPM she starts pulling
Have you considered weight reduction? Will stop, accelerate and driver better that way. Plus less stress on running gear as well.

b16 and low end power should never be in the same sentence. the only way to get any kind of numbers is to boost... nothing in the NA section will gain you much besides boring.

a B16's low end tourqe is just like a D series. only the you feel the difference is when you get to higher rpms and VTEC kicks in.

get a LS or GSR if you want low end torque, there is no replacement for displacement

Better tuning can shift the powerband, but not much, its still a 1.595 liter motor lol. Superchargers suck ***** on B16s. Look into a little *** turbo. gt25, t3, or disco potato as the max. little turbos on B16= sweet ****.

well you can always get a stroker kit. Because for the low end power you want ur gunna need more torque, which the b16 isnt able to deliver. With the short stroke that it has. "theres no replacement for displacement" sounds like it applies to you. well good luck hope u get somthing that will work out.

you ever thought about getting a b20 block and mating it with your b16 vtec head??? that should be ALL the low and high end power you need! also recommend getting gsr axles for that.
