Default just picked up toda spec b's, need input

Help me out here honda-tech, I just picked up a set of toda spec b's and need to know what it will take to make it work.

So far I have the camshafts, still waiting on valvesprings/retainers, cam gears, timing belt from toda. Is it possible to run these with a stock block gsr? Of course I will be getting it tuned but will p72 pistons work for now? Need advice from someone who has actually ran these. Also, I do realize that these cams won't be at full potential until compression is bumped.

thanks for any advice.

your valve train will get destroyed and your rockers will get messed up and grind your cams with odd shaped lobes. possbily break a retainer and drop a valve, i recommend not doing it, but you can if you want

thats what I was thinking about, just waiting it out.

As far as the spec b's destroying things, thats a myth. If you know how to correctly install these and check the clearances, then it should be fine.

i've ran them on incorrect valve springs and retainers and the cam lobes got grinded down. test it out and see after a few thousand miles

matching is a good idea. but your problem sounds more like coil bind.

I ran a B16A with a civic Type R pistons and the B's for about 3 years and never broke nothing.I use Toda valve springs and Skunk2 retainers.13.4@100mph
