how do i determine what ecu i have?
hey guys im about to buy a 2000 jdm b16 swap and it comes with a wireharness and ECU and i just wanted to kno if there was any way for me to determine what ECU it is . like is there a code or anything on it?

Yeah, on the sticker, it should read something like
XXXXXXXXXXXX-P2P-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(where X is numbers and letters).
That middle code there is what type of ECU it is.
Here's a quick list I just googled, I'm sure there's one on H-T, might even be one in my FAQ.
In any event, on the sticker that middle number is the ECU code, lists are all over the net.

37820-XXX-XXX
the 37820 is the generic part number that honda uses for an ECU
the first group of X's is the main thing in your case, that should match the engine. (as per the link above)
the second group of X's determines domestic market sold, auto/manual trans and version of board inside the case.
