Default headlight lens cleaning

i checked the lighting thread and someone suggested using an oven to bake the headlamp to melt the glue and take off the lens that way but i wanted to know if anyone has used a heat gun intead? i have an adjustable temp gun just curious if anyone has done it.

also saw Mcguires Plastx to polish...any good?

thanks,
steve

You definitely have glass headlights yeah? Don't want you to bake away those plastic lamps.

I'd imagine a heatgun would do the trick. as long as your applying the heat evenly.
