I am talking about them air bags that people use as hydrolics and ****. I have no clue on how they work. You see, I am going to buy a 95 ls integra for under 4k. Still working out the details. The only thing is that it has them airbags. I want to get rid of them. How much does it cost to get rid of them? And if i get rid of them, will their have to be other replacements.. like different struts and springs or do the air bags work around that stuff? Well, please give me some info.

air bags are around your shocks and springs, when they inflate. they push up the spring or car. not 100% sure.

 

sounds like a perfect time to upgrade the suspension. get some new springs/ shocks or some coilovers and sell the bags.

 

I believe importoverdomestic is incorrect.
While air bags do still rely on supplemental or "conventional" suspension components, you will not find any OE springs under there.

I highly doubt you will find OE dampers either.

New suspension required.

Airbags usually require mounting plates be installed (drilled) into frame and suspension components. Make sure no damage was caused with this installation.

Be sure to have the underside of the car checked for damage too. Too many G-DMND people like to have their cars scrape the pavement for no reason at all.

 

I dont understand airbags on anything but a showcar. Waaaaaay too much money for something like that. But, too each his/her own I guess
