What 6X9's came with your '99 SI

What 6X9's came with your '99 SI
Reason I'm asking is because my friend has a 98 Civic LX. I noticed his speakers produced much better bass then mine. So further inspection revealed that his were Pioneers, with a 30WATT max rating. I checked my speakers and WTF?? They say MEXICO and 15WATT max??? So, I was just wondering if this is normal or if the previous owner pulled a switch.
I figured the si's should come standard with better audio components then the other models.. but I could be wrong.
