Default Radiator hose question

After normal driving, should the top radiator hose be as hot to the touch as the bottom one. I felt mine today a the bottom one to the thermostat was not nearly as hot.

remember the whole job of the radiator is to dissipate heat, therefore the hose on top, from the engine, will be hotter then the hose on bottom that goes back to the engine.

so dont be concerned with the cooler bottom hose, thats A-OK!
