TYC Headlight Installation on 2002 Honda Accord Coupe
This my sound like a silly question, but i recently ordered some TYC Headlights and i wanted to be Brave and install them myself, however last time i installed some headlights (on my old 1996 Accord) the book made it sound much easier than it really was.
My question is has anyone installed headlights on this generation Accord and was it fairly simple, and lastly is their any tidbits i should know about??
Your help is much appreciated

I haven't done this particular install, but I do manage a body shop. There are generally 3-4 bolts/nuts that will hold the lights in. You may/ may not have to remove the front bumper cover to get to all the mount points for the headlights. Remember, the tabs on the headlight housing are for body line adjustment, not headlight beam adjustment. The lights should have adjustment for the beam separately. My experience with TYC is that they are a better aftermarket light. I put some projectors with HID's on my 95 Civic hatch and I love them. Good luck.
My buddy has a 2000 accord coupe and we put in projector headlights in his ride after he rear-ended someone. we put the headlights in before we put the new bumper on. put the head light housing under the radiator sapport and slide from outside in it might take a lil force but it will go right in. there is like 4 screws/bolts that you need to take off and put back on or your headlight will shake and jiggle when you drive, 2 up top 2 on bottom i believe, it is prolly easier to get to the bottom ones without the bumper cover on. I have also dont this on my 97 ACCORD
and it is basically the same. GOOD LUCK!
post some pics when your done bro

I just installed some on my 6thgen myself and it was pretty easy.
1. Disconnect negative terminal of the battery
2. Unplug all light bulbs from OEM housing (be careful to not touch the halogen if you are using OEM bulbs)
3. Remove all plastic grommets from the bottom splash guard attached to the bottom of the bumper on the underside of the car with a flathead screwdriver.
4. Unbolt the bolt holding the splash liner in each wheel well. ( there is one per side).
5. Remove plastic grommets on the top of the grille.
6. Carefully remove bumper. (it is just held on with clips so a good pull will make it come off.
7. Unbolt the OEM headlight housings
8. Installation is the reverse
Hope this helped....good luck
