Problem after problem. Hesitation under load, please help!
So im starting to get irritated, which in return is probbly making me miss a simple thing.
Vehicle:1993 Prelude si Vtec
Engine:Obd2 f20b dohc Vtec out of Sir-t Accord.
Harness:Obd1 vtec Harness
Dist:h22 obd1
Ecu
bd1 p13, Vafc2.
Throwing codes: Egr,primary 02,iacv.
Codes;12,14,41
Car does not have egr equipment anymore and has a block off plate.
History: Recieved vehicle in trade from buddy, that had only had the
car himself for less then a month.(aka he doesnt know much about it)
First main issue: Car had typical Iacv idle surge
Corrective action: Replace iacv.
Issue with replacing iacv: Car was half assed wired trying to run a 3 wire iacv, instead of the correct obd1 2 wire iacv. obd2 manifold also has a 3 slot 99-00 Accord style manifold and iacv mounting.
Replacement parts
bd1 top plenum h22 usdm manifold, and throttle body. New top plenum gasket, new tb gasket. new oem obd1 iacv, and fast idle valve.
Additional info: usdm h22 plenum has more additional vacum ports then then obd2 f20 manifold had. I had to cap off a few, using usdm h22 diagrams i ran everything as close as possible. Car does not have the egr, cruise control, or other vacum sources that the stock manifold would take care of.
First issue fixed
Second issue showed up after fixing first: Slowly giving gas from 900rpm's-2k rpm's their is like a bogging hesitation, almost seems like a restriction. But once 2k is hit, and car is receiving constant throttle the hesitation goes away. Car also jerks hard when letting off throttle and then going back into giving throttle no matter what speed or rpm. Id like to believe this issue was hidden do to the fact when at a stop light i would hold my foot on the gas to stop surging therefore i would take off at a higher rpm anyways.
Corrective action: replace 02 sensor
After replacing: Still having same symptoms.
Sorry for essay, but im getting highly irritated, and just dont have the time to full with this much longer and hate to just sell it. But im getting to the breaking point. Any addional insight please let me know, or friendly prelude people in MD that wouldnt mind taking a look that would be awesome also.
I will take pics of how i have all the vacume lines ran tonight, and post, incase that is the issue.

the hesitation sounds like the timing is off. check with a timing light first and then check all the timing marks.
want to sell me the old manifold
want to sell me the old manifold
Yeah thanks for the input bro. That was my next step today to check the timing, but didnt have much time at work to full with it. Keep up with the ideas! Ill let ya know the results tomorrow. Hopefully its that because i am beat. I also compared today my car to my friends h23 hatch, and the vacum lines look pretty much on the money, so i think im safe there.
