My friend has a blown d16z6 and he order a JDM D15b Vtec from online. He want to order parts for his D15( cam, piston, valve springs ECT). I told him that if he order parts for a D16z6 the would fit his new motor, but then some told me that I was wrong and that the D15b needs different parts am I wrong., thanks

no its not idiot, JDM d15b is sohc VTEC @130hp(+/-), you're thinking of a d15z1 or d15b7 or something with 102 hp. don't post wrong answers.

as to the OP I'm not sure im wondering the same thing. some say the rods are longer on the d16z6's...

there are VTEC and Non-VTEC versions as listed on ebay but usually when someone says d15b and its jdm, its SOHC VTEC 130hp 1.5L. Yeah the parts should fit, like d-series parts are all interchangable depending on what it is. Pulleys, and stuff like that.

why would you have a d15b block with a non-VTEC head, they come with, correct me if im wrong, a d16z6 head with a slightly more aggressive camshaft and VTEC.

either you took a pic of someones d15b tag or you mini-me swapped the wrong way (VTEC to non-VTEC)

 

I didn't swap my engine out, nor did I do a reverse mini-me swap.
