great looking 4th gen!!! good luck on your build. one question, could you possibly find a good edm gauge cluster? I believe they read in kph right? I would like to convert mine over.

why on earth would your friend put type s pistons in a sleeved block? Why wouldn't he opt for forged internals when he did a full sleeve job. If he did a sleeve job the FRM lining wouldn't be an issue anymore because they wouldn't be FRM sleeves. Unless he resleeved with FRM sleeves which would just be retarded.

Nice looking lude though. Good luck with the build

If you are really aiming for high 200's in the hp department n/a,you might want to look at a stroker kit. There is alot of info for all types of builds here on H.T.,just use the search button and click the archived thread button,it will bring up all threads not just recent ones

It has the FRM lining as stock, and he didn't want to get the whole block sent away to be sleeved just so he could use forged pistons, so he got the type s pistons which work with the FRM lining.

Apex1972: Mine was kph when I got her as she was imported (the imported before I got her, I didn't do the import!), but I got a converter chip soon after to change it the reading to mph. So you want yours in kph? I'm sure theres a chip somewhere that will allow the conversion.

93sivtec: Cheers man, I'll have a look at stroker kits

Thanks for the replies So it seems the high 200's are no problem at all (I say that now ), yay.

*edit* sorry, just saw the all motor builds thread *embaressed look*

I was wanting the actual cluster. Not because of the kph, I just like the way it looks better than the US version.

power goals are useless.

~13:1 compression
big bore, big stroke
full race head
custom header
3" exhaust
TUNING
Race gas/e85/methanol

you figure out the details.

in a nutshell, yes.

you are going to need high compression and choose a cam with enough duration so that the power does not die out on the top end, but enough lift to keep the flow up.

pick your cams, build around the cams. The cams are the heart of the engine.
