FS SoCal: '91 Honda Civic WAGON DX, 110k orig. miles, all maint. records
Hi,
I'm selling my beloved little wagon. It is a 5-speed, 2WD, 1991 multi-point fuel injected version with roughly 110k original miles. I bought it about a year ago as my commuter, when it was at roughly 104.5k miles. It was a one owner until the guy I got it from bought it to resell. The original owner was an older hippie chick who babied the car. I have a giant folder with all maintenance records, etc. The lady even had carwash receipts in the folder!
When I bought it, it had Megan coilovers on it (which were removed and will be included in a box with the stock struts). I instead put Progress Group Series II coilovers on it...a roughly $600 setup, which are on the car now. The shocks and springs are perfectly matched so it doesn't bounce down the road! I also got rid of the wheels in the pic below, and went to some less conspicuous stock CRX alloys with a fatter sidewall for a smoother ride quality. (pics provided by BrownWagonist on hondacivicwagon.com),
It rides great, runs perfectly, and pulls cleanly and completely stable to 100mph with four people in the car...or so I hear.
It has the same cosmetic issues that it had when I bought it...a dent in the passenger front fender that can be popped out (I never bothered when I got the car), and it has some scrapes on the right rear quarter. The roof paint is peeling, as is common with most Honda's of this age. I was going to paint the roof flat black, but put duct tape on it in the meantime. I figured when I pulled the tape off it would be ready for paint.
The interior is in really good shape, with only a couple of tears in the driver seat. The other seats are in great condition, as is the dash, carpets, etc. It needs new rear hatch shocks...and that's about it. Everything else is original and works fine. It has manual windows, locks, and no power steering or AC...less things to malfunction and break. If you want a low-mileage, really well cared for wagon with a squeaky clean history and strong mechanicals, this is it.
The only reason I'm selling is because I'm moving from LA to Charlotte NC, and it would cost a lot to transport it out there. I'm going to miss it.
I put it up for sale yesterday, and already have an offer for $2000. If anyone is interested in making an offer greater than that amount please do asap.
Thanks!
Jeff

ps Forgot to say...some of you may recognize my screen name from a long time ago on this forum, or other forums. I used to frequent Honda-Tech when I owned a '98 Integra Type R. I've been in the scene for a decade, and was the sales manager at StopTech for the past 5 years. That means you aren't going to get any games, etc. from me. I have a reputation in the industry to uphold. This is a clean car with a clean record. I have current carfax as well. Thanks.

No problem. It's a great little car. It's amazingly stable and comfy at highway speeds for commuting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
