i just finished the mpfi swap bro, it will make you cream ur pants. it beats the hell outta my buddies 2000 civic now.... send a pm to a guy called monotech on here and get the conversion harness. it plugs right in and looks oem. if you want check my build thread for pictures and a video. it is called very slooooow build up and dont be afraid to leave a comment. i think i spent 250 bucks on it. you need harness(optional but much much easier) intake manifold from si, ecu from si(i used pg7 from integra to get 7200 rpms) and an si/hf distributor. after you finish hold onto your ***** man. good luck

by the way with a y8 head, its vtec and u will need to hook the vtec up and get the y8/z6 dizzy because its vtec, and a vtec ecu.

using the y8 vtec head will allow u t use the ef si dizzy and for the computer u can still use the same ecu but u will need a way to activate vtec there is differents ways to do so from real cheap (like 2 dollars swich ), a shift lite , rpm module i think that what it is , vafc, chiping ur ecu etc

if its gonna be done, why not do it right. if he has 500 bucks, have the harness made with the vtec hooked into it so it is all good. sounds like the right way to me....

you will still have to unpin two wires and plug in four. montech runns the wire right to your ecu for you all you have to do is switch them up. good luck
