Default WTF!! vtec stoped working. no check engine light. IMPUT PLEASE

i pulled the seloniod off and cleaned it and found aluminum shavings......but everything seems fine. no knocking or noise from motor???????......vtec tries to engage and will when its below operating temp.(vtec controler). but when it gets warm it like sputters in and out of vtec???? so the real questin is where did that metal come from??? i changed the oil/filter imeadiatly and found nothing anywhere else????? does that mean its comig from the head somewhere???

Well I was going to go into more detail, however since I obviously must not have a reason to ask those questions, do a little reading and search next time.

Are you using a JDM ecu, or one that is set to ignore VTP?

Im not sure exactly how a VFAC wires up, but have you done the Oil Pressure Bypass on the car. That will eleminate that.

Dont expect anything good to come of the metal shavings. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ludedude1984 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">thanks people. ill give it a try. uhh... so.... the metal shavings in my vtec solinoid
