tunning my da turbo
one of my buddy told me that i could just send in my ecu for a shop to install a chip thats already been tune for a b16 turbo and it would work on my car. Is this true?

you need to go get it dynoed tuned and it wud be wise to also get it street tuned, an ecu alone wont get the job done, yes you need a chipped ecu...
Call around to local tuning shops and find out their rep as well.
The best money you can invest is a good solid tune for peace of mind when it comes to forced induction cars.
DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON TUNE!! because if you do, do not come back here to whine that your thousands of dollars engine blew up.

HOWEVER, as mentioned above, all turbo setups and motors are different. There are dozens of variables such as turbo size, downpipe size, fuel injector size, intake piping, cams, manifolds, etc etc. Considering all these variables, it would be impossible to get a 100% correct tune from someone who has never touched your car. A generalized tune such as the one you are talking about will not get optimum power. In the worse case, it will damage your engine.
Find a tuner in your area and give them a call. A good tune is worth it. It will give you optimal power along with good fuel economy and reliability.

hey there bro im from fresno to so if your looking for a tune its best that you go have it dyno tune i know shops here and i went and dyno tune mine at modesto.
