It smells like gas when I do a hard right turn. There's nothing leaking in the engine bay.

It seems to be coming form inside the car, near the hole for the gas. I remember that sometimes our car smells like gas when a part near the hole is broken, but I dont remember what it is. I also checked the pipe that goes in the tank and everything seems ok (A stripped interior ownz).

Please help!

 

look up underneath your car and see if your gas tank is leaking around the middle, mine does the same thing, i need to fix it

Make sure your gas cap is properly closed.This will also cause you to have a gas smell inside your car.I have done it several times.

 

Can it be because the motor is running rich and I was part throttle??

it's your gas tank i had the same problem when i had a full tank of gas......... it sucked...

 

did u check out your gas tank yet?? does it only do it over half tank?

 

my gas lines corroded and it leaks underneath. i need to fix it soon. lucky i have another car.

 

Have you replaced your fuel pump at all? I dropped a GSR pump in mine and didn't quite get one gasket in place perfectly, and now all I smell is gas until half tank or so (hard turns, of course). I just need to get the tank down again and fix it. Might have been the vent tube. I think. I dunno.

 

No, it stopped doing it, but the tank was full when it happened.

I'll check it out tomorow, I had no time this week.
